What is EFT- Tapping?
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques),commonly known as Tapping is an evidence-based approach that combines elements of cognitive therapy with gentle tapping on specific acupressure points on the face and upper body.
It works by sending a calming signal directly to the amygdala, the brain's threat-detection center, while simultaneously processing a difficult thought, memory or feeling.
In simple terms: It tells your nervous system it's safe to let go.

Unlike traditional talk therapy, EFT doesn't require you to relive trauma in detail. Because it works at the level of the nervous system (not just the mind), it often shifts things that years of talking or “working on” haven't been able to move.
What happens in a session?
We meet in person in Dalkey or Ballsbridge, or online via Zoom, whichever feels right for you.
You don't need to prepare anything or arrive with a clear agenda. Many people come with just a vague sense that something feels stuck, and the session itself helps clarify what needs attention.
Together we'll identify a specific issue, feeling or pattern to focus on. I'll guide you gently through a sequence of tapping on meridian points on the face and upper body while we explore what's underneath the surface, always at your own pace.
We usually close the session with a short sequence of eye movements (EMDR) to help integrate what has shifted and bring a sense of balance and calm.

Common Questions:
How many sessions will I need? Most clients notice meaningful change within 3–6 sessions. The Serenity Shift programme offers a full 10-session journey for deeper, more sustained transformation. Unlike open-ended therapy, EFT tends to work within a defined, focused timeframe, which most people find both reassuring and motivating.
Do I have to talk about difficult things in detail? No. EFT doesn't require you to narrate trauma or relive painful memories in order to process them. Many people find this is precisely why it works when other approaches haven't.
Is it better to come in person? Either is perfect. EFT works extremely well online. Many of my clients actually prefer working from the comfort and privacy of their own home, and the results are just as effective as in-person sessions.
What if I feel sceptical? That's completely fine, and more common than you might think among people who go on to get huge benefits from it. The best way to assess whether EFT is right for you is simply to experience a session. Or you’re welcome to book a free discovery call.
Can EFT work alongside other therapies? Yes. EFT works very well alongside psychotherapy, counselling, conventional medicine, physiotherapy or other treatments. Because it addresses the body and nervous system, it often helps clients become more receptive to other therapeutic work they're doing in parallel.

I'm Tammi O'Flynn, a clinical EFT practitioner, Doctor of Phytotherapy (Western Herbal Medicine) and Pilates instructor with over 20 years of experience supporting people through health challenges, stress, and life transitions.
I began my career as a professional ballet dancer - a world that taught me everything about discipline, performance and the mind-body connection, and also about the cost of pushing through without the right emotional tools. That lived experience is woven into every session I offer.
I relocated to Dublin from South Africa in 2023 and now work with clients in Dalkey, Ballsbridge and online.
My approach is warm, intuitive and deeply personalised. I meet each person exactly where you are.
